Technique and training though vital, are not the only variables important for success. There are other valuable aspects of performance education that work to prepare students for real-life situations. Helping students learn how to learn, analyze and apply information are an essential part of succeeding not only in the present, but in the future as well.
The emotional maturity that comes along with building the confidence and trust it takes to perform in front of an audience will continue to benefit a student throughout their lifetime. Performance education should prepare a student for the technical requirements of their craft as well as help them to develop the life skills they will need to realize their potential and rise to it.
